Adjust the application process settings

Change application approval, re-submission, and withdrawal settings

You can adjust the following application settings on the applicant portal from Settings > General > Application process.

Applicant portal 

  • Allow adding applications via the applicant portal

Mark this checkbox if you want to enable your applicants to add one or more applications directly from the applicant portal. 

  • Allow changing application categories via the applicant portal

Mark this checkbox if you want to enable applicants to change the categories of their applications directly from the applicant portal. 

IMPORTANT: If your program features categories with different prices or free and paid categories, the use of this option might result in overpayment or underpayment. 

IMPORTANT: If your categories have different application forms with different fields, the use of this option could potentially result in the loss of data. 

  • Allow canceling applications via the applicant portal 

Mark this checkbox if you wish to allow people to be able to cancel their applications via the applicant portal. Canceling an application will set its status to canceled. If you don’t turn this option on, applicants will have to contact the organization to have their applications canceled manually by the organization owner/program admin. 

Approval

You can choose to have submitted applications approved automatically, or approved manually.

Changes after submission 

  • Allow changes to submitted applications

Mark this checkbox if you want to allow people to make modifications to their applications after they've submitted them, when the application status is "submitted".

  • Allow changes to approved applications

Mark this checkbox if you want to allow people to make modifications to their applications after they have already been approved, when the application status is "approved".

  • Require admin approval when changes have been submitted

Mark this checkbox if you want an admin to have to approve an application after it has been resubmitted. Note that this checkbox will only be active if you have opted for manual approval of applications.

Status display

  • Show approved status on the applicant portal

Mark this checkbox if you want to allow people to see the status of their applications after you've approved them.

  • Show rejected status on the applicant portal

Mark this checkbox if you want to allow people to see the status of their applications after you've rejected them.
