You can create new programs in Evalato by clicking the Create program button on the main menu.
You can create a program from scratch or use one of Evalato’s preconfigured customizable templates which enable a quicker setup.
Note that regardless of which option you choose, upon creation, your program is in Test mode, which allows you to edit and test everything before switching to Live mode from the program's Dashboard.
How to create a program
Go to the Main menu and click on the Create a program button or the + sign at the top right and select Program. This will open up the following basic program creation settings:
-
Organization — select the organization under which you wish to create your new program.
-
Name — choose a name for your program as it will appear throughout the registration, application, and evaluation experience.
-
Template — choose a program template that best matches your use case or start from scratch. Every option features a tooltip on the top right side with a description that can help you determine which template is best suited for your needs. Click on the template you have selected or start from scratch.
-
Language — choose a language for your program. Applicants and judges will experience the program in the language that you select.
IMPORTANT: If you have selected a template, you will not be able to change the language of your program. You can always change the language after you have created the program, but keep in mind that not all elements will be automatically translated.
After you have chosen the organization, name, template/start from scratch option, and language for your program, click on “Create program”. You will be taken to the program Dashboard where you can customize the template settings to fit your needs or fully set up your program if you have chosen to start from scratch.
