# How do I delete a category?

## You can delete a category from Settings > Categories

You can delete a category by going to **Settings > Categories**, and then clicking on the **X** sign next to the category you wish to delete.

**IMPORTANT:** Before deleting a category, make sure that the category you want to delete has no applications to avoid any potential loss of data.
