Website > Applicant portal
Evalato enables you to customize the applicant portal where people work on their submissions for a better applicant experience. You can add general instructions and information, adjust the wording, and customize the dashboard cover.
Customizing the instructions
Go to Website > Applicant portal > Instructions. Make sure to tick the Show instructions checkbox that will open a set of formatting options for a text editor and the option to add images.
Since you cannot host images in Evalato, you will need to upload those images somewhere (like Google Drive, Dropbox, Flickr, ImageShack, etc). Once the images are uploaded you can add them using the Image function. To do that, get the image URL and type it in the respective field. After you are done, click on “Save” if you want to keep the changes.
Customizing the wording
Go to Website > Applicant portal > Wording. This section lets you customize the following elements in your applicant portal:
-
Sidebar link — the text that appears on the sidebar of the application portal with detailed information about the registration, its default text is “Registration info”.
-
Heading — the heading on the information box with details about the registration, its default setting is “Registration info”.
-
Registration ID Label — the label for the registration identification code that appears in the registration information box, its default text is “Reg. ID”.
-
Date and time label — the label for the date and time the registration was made that appears in the registration information box, its default text is “Registration date and time”.
-
Draft message — the notification message that appears on the applicant portal when the application is saved as a draft, its default text is “The application is saved as a draft.”
-
Review message — the notification message that appears on the applicant portal confirming that the application is sent for review, its default text is “The application was sent for review.”
After you are done, click on “Save” if you want to keep the changes.
Pro tip: When selecting wording for your applicant portal elements, make sure that they are concise and clear, and improve the overall applicant user experience.
Customizing the dashboard cover
Go to Website > Applicant portal > Dashboard cover. By clicking on Add cover, you will be able to upload an image from your device. Note that the image’s recommended size is 1920x750px. The allowed file types include png, jpg, gif, and bmp, and the file should not be larger than 4MB.
After you are done, click on “Save” if you want to keep the changes.
Customizing the dashboard info
Go to Website > Applicant portal > Dashboard info. If you tick the “Show info” checkbox, you will see a text editor and the option to add images. As is the case with Instructions, if you wish to add images, you will need to upload them elsewhere and then add them using the Image function.
After you are done, click on “Save” if you want to keep the changes.
