How to give entry feedback in Evalato
Entries > Request changes / Request resubmission
Evalato lets you give feedback for each entry, so entrants know exactly what needs to be addressed before they resubmit.
Leaving feedback
Open an entry and click Set status. Select either Request changes or Request resubmission (after deadline) — both will open a feedback window where you can type your message to the entrant. Click Submit to send the feedback and update the entry status. Note that leaving feedback is entirely optional. If you do not wish to leave feedback, just click Submit — this will change the status of the entry.
The entrant will see your feedback in their applicant portal, marked as Unresolved.
Viewing and managing feedback
You can view all feedback for an entry under the Feedback tab inside the entry. From there, you can:
- Edit — update the feedback message.
- Mark as resolved / Mark as unresolved — when feedback is unresolved, click the green tick to mark it as resolved. If you need to reopen it, click the same button (an orange X) to mark it as unresolved.
- Delete — remove the feedback permanently. Note that the system will ask you to confirm your decision since this action cannot be undone.
How feedback gets resolved
Once the entrant resubmits their entry, the feedback is automatically marked as Resolved on your end, and the entry status updates to Submitted. Resolved feedback remains visible to you under the Feedback tab for reference.
